Something a bit different

Portraits, The Latest

Welcome to October

Halfway through October and on the way to dare I say it Christmas.

Not here though, firstly we need Hop Tu Naa (if you don’t live on the Isle of Man, then look it up) and one of my favourites Bonfire Night.

I will always remember the smell of the fires on the beach and watching the fireworks as a child.

In addition to this, Half Term is fast approaching and although some of you may be travelling to beautiful destinations, however some of you are still enjoying staycations I hope!

So where better to go than the beautiful town of Port Erin here on the island…. (see the featured image above taken one late summer evening).

Recent Shoot

Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Lynsey and her daughter Grace in The Studio at Brightlife.

Grace is now at Uni studying medicine while Lynsey who is such a very busy lady, if not swimming in the sea, cycling or running she is also with her rental business in Port Erin, Seaside Cottages.

If you have not heard of Seaside Cottages yet here is some information and images (not mine).

All of my images can be viewed in The Gallery here

Where to stay in Port Erin

With two properties to choose from, there is something for everyone.

Port Erin holiday cottages at the beach. Seaview is a beach-front cottage with a private garden and incredible views from every room.

Palm Villa is a renovated modern townhouse in a secluded spot close to the beach overlooking a footbridge and stream that runs to the sand.

Furthermore both properties have three bedrooms, sleep 6 and welcome dogs.

What an amazing man you are Jason, I loved this shoot, full of giggles, and you made us feel so at ease in front of the camera. So lovely to be able to do this with Grace before she went off to pastures new, and I would recommend this to any mother and daughter for a purely wonderful experience together. Thankyou again xx

Thanks Lynsey, it was fun wasn’t it. So glad you had some time out with Grace before she went to Uni. Think we need a power ballad soundtrack (80’s) to accompany the wind machine….. Maybe next time. Thank you again for your time, it was so much fun x
