Time to get out of your COMFORT ZONE!

Now is the time to get out of your Comfort Zone.

When we talk about Comfort Zone, how does that make you feel, confident, anxious or just curious to how you might feel?

Late last year I was approached by Stephen Bush who is the manager of Quay Fitness Gym in Ramsey. Every year, the gym offers members the opportunity of having a photoshoot. This raises funds for Rebecca House which is the Children’s Hospice.  I had to say YES to this and photograph the members.

Out of my Comfort Zone

So, as I tend to photograph in a studio environment with only one light this took me out of my own Comfort Zone.

Not only did I need to learn new techniques with lighting. Space to take the images was restricted too.

However, we achieved this with the great guidance of Stephen and gym members.

So the members who were photographed took themselves out of their Comfort Zone too, some felt a little nervous at being in front of the camera.

This project took us all on a journey together, one that I am totally grateful for, the gym members and Stephen are all legends!

What Did I Learn?

So if you asked me what did I learn from this shoot and project, firstly not to pigeon hole yourself, secondly believe in yourself and abilities and lastly, you can do whatever you want and achieve greatness in all that you do.  

Final Words

I know I have said this many times before, dream big as you never know where you might end up!
