As an Isle of Man Family Photographer spring has to be one of my favourite times of the year.
This time I am going to talk about the forthcoming shoots in May at Ballaglass Glen here on the Isle of Man.
Where is Ballaglass Glen?
Ballaglass Glen is a pretty Manx Glen, north of Laxey which is a favourite for artists and photographers.
Carpeted in bluebells in spring and sparkling streams which dance over rocks sculptured over millions of years.
Look out for the wooden sculpture of a wise old man known as the ‘Wizard of Mann’, which is enchanting for visiting children and can be accessed via the triangular path that takes you around the glen. For more details about this enchanting place please click the link here
This place has such a beautiful energy and is very calming, this has to be one of my favourite places as an Isle of Man Family Photographer to visit and recharge my batteries.
Preparation for your shoot with Isle of Man Family Photographer
It is always a good idea to plan your shoot. Think about the colours of your outfits and try your best to coordinate with one another. This is your opportunity to have a great experience with me as your Isle of Man Photographer.
What to bring to your family shoot
As the shoots are outdoors I always advise bringing layers with you as we all know the weather on the Isle of Man is changeable.
It is also a good idea to bring some water and snacks with you too. I aim to make the shoots as much fun as possible and I will photograph you in the many locations there in Ballaglass.
So let’s go back and think about preparing for your photoshoot.
If you want to meet up at Ballaglass Glen before that’s great.
This will allow you to have a look around and decide where you want to have your photographs taken.
Think about having an early night on the eve of the shoot, who wants to look tired on their beautiful images?
Cost of the family shoot
The cost for the shoot is £150 for up to two hours at Ballaglass, this includes a pre-shoot meeting if necessary at Ballaglass so you can decide on where you want to have your photographs taken. All edits are also included in the cost with an online gallery for ten days to choose your favourite images.

Payment is required in full at the time of booking. Payment by instalments is available when purchasing from the collections. If we need to cancel the photoshoot you will either be given an alternative date or a full refund.
