“So here I am, writing the end-of-year blog on October 18th. No time like the present to get myself organised for the new year?
Goodbye 2023 Hello 2024
What are your plans for 2024?
After a nine week wait, finally connected to the outside world via the internet, I will never move again I promise. The new home is wonderful with a beautiful big garden and is spacious throughout. It is great to create a new living space. Hopefully I will be able to create portraits at home as well as in the studio.
The break from the internet has been refreshing. It made me realize that I don’t need to be online constantly to stay informed about the world. When I did connect, some social media posts from friends left me pondering their motives, its not for us all is it?

Quick Roundup
Now, let’s do a quick roundup of 2023. It involved more travel than usual, with trips to our nearest city, Liverpool, London in May for work, a return to London and Brighton in July for birthday celebrations, and the thrilling experience of attending ABBA Voyage.

Mamma Mia
Attending ABBA Voyage was a visual feast, leaving me yearning to relive the magic. The desire to go back and experience it all over again is strong.
Italian Adventure

In June, I explored the enchanting city of Venice and ventured to Maniago for a three-day photography retreat at Ceconi Castle at the foot of the Dolomite Mountains, it was simply so beautiful. Titled ‘The Mind, Body & Soul of a Photographer’. The retreat was a transformative experience, leading to the creation of lasting friendships.

The photography retreat in Maniago was filled with incredible moments, surrounded by inspiring teachers, mentors, fellow photographers, and talented hair and makeup artists. The retreat not only enhanced my skills but also created lasting bonds.

Outdoor Shoot
Late August saw another collab with Christopher at Glen Maye, the weather was amazing, although not too sure about the temperature of the water. As always, it’s a pleasure to create with Christopher and I am very hopeful of many more to come.

September News
So while on holiday in Portugal, I woke up to message and an email to let me know that my submissions to The Portrait Masters had received bronze awards and that I have been accepted as an Associate of The Portrait Masters. What does this mean? It means that I have consistently achieved a professional level of Portrait Photography. The certificate has arrived along with the medal that are now being mounted so I can display on my office/spare room wall. Now I will be working harder to achieve great successes, so watch this space.

As I wrap up this blog post, feel free to explore the selection of images I’ve included. If you have any questions or would like more details about the photography shoots, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Have a question then please feel free to message me here
See you very soon! Jason

The good news is that we finally got connected to the internet, as for the re-directed post, well that’s another story…..
